East Linton to North Berwick (approx. 7 miles) – with an optional extension up North Berwick Law

We will walk in togetherness as a community – sharing Noble Silence as we enjoy the farmland, hedgerows and wooded areas of East Lothian. There will be the option to finish with the short but steep ascent of the Law to enjoy spectacular views over the coast and to the Lammermuir hills.

Breaks and lunch will not be in silence – please bring a packed, plant-based lunch, drinks and snacks to sustain yourself through the day and something dry to sit on when we stop!

Our walk corresponds with the arrival of the 09:21 train service from Edinburgh Waverley to East Linton, which arrives into East Linton at 09:38. For the return, there are trains from North Berwick returning to Waverley every hour. Without the Law extension, we expect you to be able to make the 15:21, which arrives Waverley at 15:53. If you join us up the Law, there is a 16:21 arriving 16:56 or a 17:21, arriving 17:54. Buses also run regularly to both towns.
